Her name is Ginger and, uh
Ginger actually helps me keep perspective on my life
Something that, you know, it's sometimes really hard
You-you loose perspective
You forget what things are important, you know
Your dog destroys your furniture or your clothes, you know

You're angry about it to start with and then you realize
That this animal is a big part of your life, brings you a lot of joy
Gives you a lotta love and that's what's important
And I think it goes for people too we
We start to forget that and we start to concentrate on other things
On things in general
And thinking they're more important than the people in our lives
And trying to feel like our lives have meaning
And finding that outside of ourselves
And we have to look inside of ourselves and find that
I think in the time of crisis that we have right now though
A lot of people in this country don't like to see it that way
And dealing with AIDS
You have to look inside yourself too because unfortunately
There aren't too many other places to go
But I think that if
If you can find the strength inside yourself
To go on to help other people that
Hopefully, eventually that will make a change
