Really been looking for purpose
Found it in writing these verses
I gravitate toward the heavenly energy cuz I done dealt wit the curses
You know I dealt with the pain, dawg
Rather be hurt than in hearses
These just some thoughts that be flowin' together like I was just thinkin in cursive
All you done seen is the surface
I take it down to what's underneath
Homie we been thru the worst, it's
No worse than nights that we had to spend on the street
Ain't no more dreamin' of livin' large
My new goal is just inner peace
How I'm takin charge, on the wheel, I skrrt,
On the field, I score, know I been a beast
Everything two for the symmetry
I like the coupe over limousine
I sip that Tito's in lemonade
Livin', it feel like I'm in a dream
My momma she on that Medicaid
That's why I'm tryna just get the cream
Everything around me, cash rules,
They get at you, for the self-esteem
Ain't that a bitch, ain't that a bitch, damn counting my blessings
No we ain't rich, but we got family and love, as long as there's that i ain't stressin'
I was just a youngin' wit my uncle in corrections
Writing letters, wonder if I ever see him outside, that's the question
I remember high school I was there writing rhymes in detention
Took that shit to the talent show and got mad love just for venting
Same bitches used to hate on me, now they come around, it's no tension
'Cause they tryna get on my dick, but me, I don't pay 'em no attention
I remember I was 16, Instagram fiendin' for a mention
Thinking if I can blow up, then I won't have to worry bout nothing, worry bout nothing
I remember I was 18, learnin' how to make some investments
Thinkin' if I can put something away, then I might make a way to get right to the blessings
20, I made some confessions,
21, how I'm livin' now
Savage shit in a cold world, you could say I'm back but I been around
Fuck the mp3, get the record player, let the vinyl just spin around
Remember that Nets cap I used to rock, who knew whole time it's been a crown
