Heaven held its breath, no word, no sound
The prayers of saints rose from the ground
The angel stood before the throne
With fire and incense not his own
He cast it down, the earth replied
Thunder rolled and lightning cried
The Lamb had opened what was sealed
And holy judgment was revealed
When the trumpets sound, the sky will break
Creation trembles, mountains quake
Every heart will know His name
The Holy One who still remains
When the trumpets sound, His voice is near
Repent, return, the hour is here
The first brought fire upon the land
The forests burned by His command
The second fell, the sea turned red
The ships were gone, the nations bled
The third made bitter every stream
A falling star, a shadowed dream
The fourth blew dark, the heavens failed
The sun withdrew, the moon turned pale
When the trumpets sound, the sky will break
Creation trembles, mountains quake
Every heart will know His name
The Holy One who still remains
When the trumpets sound, His voice is near
Repent, return, the hour is here
Then from the pit, the smoke arose
A star fell low, the darkness grows
The locusts came with wings of flame
To wound, not kill, yet still they blame
And four were loosed by river's side
Their armies marched, the earth has cried
A third of man was swept away
Yet none would turn, none chose to pray
Still mercy calls through fear and fire
The Lord is just, the Lamb entire
His Word is sure, His truth profound
All heaven waits for trumpet sound
When the trumpets sound, His truth will stand
The wrath, the grace, in one command
The Lamb is King, the scroll revealed
The mystery of God unsealed
When the trumpets sound, all knees will bow
Holy, holy, forever now
Still mercy waits for hearts to turn
Before the final trumpets burn
The Word is spoken, the heavens bound
We wait in awe, till trumpets sound
