Lyrics
I have something to tell you, I'd rather tell than not
We're climbing Jacob's Ladder, we're going to the top
And ever as we get higher from Satan's fiery flame
We started as the lowest round and we do keep the way
Oh, we are climbing Jacob's Ladder
And we're going to the top
We are a-climbing, reaching higher
Nevermore to stop
For we left the clouds bะตneath us
We're on thะต shining side
Climbing, climbing, reaching higher
For life to be had
The ladder leads to glory, straight back to Heaven's sky
The first climb we'll come quitting, the next one saying goodbye
We knew the carnal nature and the comforter of mine
And on the resurrection morning, we are glorified
Oh, we are climbing Jacob's Ladder
And we're going to the top
We are a-climbing, reaching higher
Nevermore to stop
For we left the clouds beneath us
We're on the shining side
Climbing, climbing, reaching higher
For life to be had
I almost see God's children at the end of the stairway
I think I hear them singing, and then I hear them pray
I think I see my mother with their loved ones, young and old
But the best of it all, I see my Savior through the gates of gold
Oh, we are climbing Jacob's Ladder
And we're going to the top
We are a-climbing, reaching higher
Nevermore to stop
For we left the clouds beneath us
We're on the shining side
Climbing, climbing, reaching higher
For life to be had
