David's bunk was flooding, water rising fast
He screamed and woke the others, this nightmare had to last
Water covered ceiling, panic filled the room
Everyone was drowning in the watery tomb
David swam toward the door with all his might
But no matter how he pushed, it wouldn't open right
While others breathed through toilet pipes below
David saw a mirror-he had somewhere to go
Swimming fast and steady, lined up for the strike
The instructor stood behind it, watching all along
Punched the glass eighty times until it broke in spite
Survived the flood by David's
They all escaped the water, broken free at last
But one young girl was drowned-their unity had passed
The instructor shook his head and said, "You all have failed
A team that doesn't stick together never shall prevail"
Day two brought a new test-six trainees in the sky
Jumping from three thousand meters, parachutes held high
At five hundred meters down, the instructor spoke with dread
"One of your parachutes is fake-count your number, said"
Fear shrouded their hearts, no one wanted to be the one
David stayed calm and cool and said, "Let's pair up-everyone"
One panicked, pulled his cord before the proper height
Now the even number vanished into night
David gathered close in a circle hand to hand
One by one they pulled their cords, together as a band
Each teammate drifted down until just two remained
David and a girl suspended, dancing with the pain
Neither dared decide, the ground was coming fast
The instructor watched in silence, knew this was the last
David grabbed his partner, pulled her cords in time
They touched the earth together-passed the hardest climb
Three remained, assigned a mission in London town
Capture the girl in photos-simple, he was crown
But drinks were drugged before they knew the danger near
Woke up tied to railway tracks with bandits standing near
A train was coming closer, its whistle loud and clear
The kidnapper asked David, "Who's your boss? Tell me here!"
"Your partners died for silence, but you still can live
Just give us one name, David-take the gift we give"
Fear consumed his body, terror in his eyes
But not a single word of secrets did he cry
The train rolled over slowly as the moment passed
Then the instructor stepped out-this was built to last
It wasn't real, just a test of loyalty
The others broke and betrayed-for their lives they'd flee
David stayed loyal, proved his heart was true
The instructor smiled and said, "I've found the best in you"
He brought David to a base secret and grand
A custom suit awaited-his reward was planned
But what David did next, what he chose to do
Made the instructor's smile dissolve into blue...
