Used to wanna live in a big city
Now that I'm here, I've been wondering if my old friends miss me
As much as I wanted them to
And I've been staring up at the skyscrapers
Stepping over glass and listening to people on the sidewalk
Pretty faces, small talk, everything I want
'Cause New York has got so much potential
And I'm not sure why I feel like I'm spending
All of my time on the East side
God, I'm so tired of my room
Maybe I should be more positive
I got a tendency to run to the opposite
Every day, wish I could change and make the most of it
(I'll make the most of it, I'll make the most of it)
And honest, everything's been good
But lately, I've been sleeping in, never thought I would, ooh
And every day, wish I could change and make the most of it
(I'll make the most of it, I'll make the most of it)
ย
And I used to wanna keep myself busy
Missed out on sixteen
Never going to the parties
But I'm wondering where that got me (damn)
'Cause New York has got so much potential
And I'm not sure why I feel like I'm spending
All of my time on the East side
God, I'm so tired of my room
Maybe I should be more positive
I got a tendency to run to the opposite
Every day, wish I could change and make the most of it
(I'll make the most of it, I'll make the most of it)
And honest, everything's been good
But lately, I've been sleeping in, never thought I would, ooh
And every day, wish I could change and make the most of it
(I'll make the most of it, I'll make the most of it)
