Lyrics
Positive education always corrects error
Peace!
Gonna flow just to let you know
That I'm with it because I say so
Apartheid lie just to get inside
Another man's land and hillside
Many will come amongst us, never trust us
Never gave a care for our welfare
Thrust us into a state of submission
Without our permission, so listen
Freedom is our sunshine
I would like to take you
On a trip that will blow your mind
You really won't believe
The way they're treatin' my people
And I don't think that it's fair at all
Because they wanna be free
Let's all
Let's hold your hands today
'Cause that's the only way (Let's all)
Let's hold your hands today
'Cause that's the only way
We must spread the words
Of freedom and liberty
We must sacrifice
To set my people free, ha!
I don't believe
What's going on
Because my people wanna be free
Because my people wanna be free
Doctor King (He wants to be free), my hero
And also Malcolm X (The Black man was too strong)
These are all my people
Who believe that we should be free (Free every man, every man)
And Nelson Mandela was jailed
Because of what he believed in
Now free my people, free my people
Let my people free
One day they will be free
I know they will be free (You're gonna free my people)
One day they will be free
I know they will be free (You're gonna let my people free)
They wanna be free, free, free
They've got to be free
Lecture, misdirection, their selection
Will be nothing more than rejection
Livin' in insomnia, I'm gonna bomb ya
False advocate, I wanna pick up and palm ya
Michael Bowen is known to speak truth
South Africa is wrong
And I got the proof, Mandela, fella
Victim 'cause they plucked him, picked
Him, sick him, dicked him, tricked him
Threw him in jail to rot, we never forgot the plot
Was said they got paid, not squat
You just linger in limbo
You wear your African symbol
You say you're down, proud to be black
Shopping in Macy's and Gimbels
Ain't nothin' wrong with that
But make sure you support what's black
So go buy the record, play it and say it
'Cause Malcolm X woulda liked that
So would Martin, Frederick and Stephen
Marcus Garvey, Booker T. even
Get off your derriere
Raise your palm, fist into the air
Peace to the brothers and sisters
African resistance
Your struggle is our struggle
We'll all go the distance
There will be
We will all be free
One day they will be free
I know they will be free (We will all be free)
One day they will be free
I know they will be free (We will sacrifice)
One day they will be free (One day they will be free)
I know they will be free (To the journey, the journey of freedom)
One day they will be free (We will march)
I know they will be free (To the brighter day of sunshine)
One day they will be free (We will march)
I know they will be free (To get my people free, yeah, free, yeah)
Positive education always corrects error
