(Weathrman)
Do you ever dream of what you could be?
Take a moment to rest
I've been feelin' tired, and I know I'm wired
From all the anxious in my chest
Erase all of my religion
Erase all of my religion
Introduce me to the pain
Introduce me to the pain
Show me what I've been missing
Yeah, I know a grief people don't speak about
A fire that flickers then burns up the house
The pillar you were leaning on start to decay
The place that you were livin' start slippin' away
I used to think the halls were divine
Sterlized doctrine, controlled and confined
I followed the rules and I practiced them all
But that left me prideful and destined to fall
And not to say that everything was vain
Truth started leaking out my veins
They tellin' me I'm crazy, but actually, I'm sane
Walking toward the light, but the road's full of pain
Still I'm unshaken and unbowed
They mock me, but Father, forgive them, the whole crowd
I've seen what America preachin', it's so foul
I yearn for the words of Yeshua, the true crown
Erase it
Erase all of my religion
Erase all of my religion
Introduce me to the pain
Introduce me to the pain
Show me what I've been missing
Baptized in the Jordan was like a soul shower
If God in a box, He got no power
They teach 'bout antiquity and the church fathers
They skip Ethiopia and the Turks probably
Like Abba Salama and Saint Haymanot
But we go from Yeshua straight to Camelot
I'm done with this Western form of religion
My mentions full of people assume they know my intentions
I met the God of the Scriptures, He's global and not American
I still love my country and love my heritage
Erase the religion we get from mega-church
And give me a faith that's sacred to break the curse
I'll take the rejection and suffer degradation
I pray for the day that we get a revelation
I need the relationship, not a bunch of rules
The truth is in front of us if we dare to choose
Do you ever dream of what you could be?
Take a moment to rest
I've been feelin' tired, and I know I'm wired
From all the anxious in my chest
Erase all of my religion
Erase all of my religion
Introduce me to the pain
Introduce me to the pain
Show me what I've been missing
Show me what I've been missing
