I was blinded by your light
Brighter than the sun
You were everything to me
The missing piece I dreamed of
You gave me always just enough
To keep me hanging on
And I stayed, didn't wanna give you
Any reason you should move on
Yeah, I told myself
That you we're gonna come around
But I lost myself
In the waiting
I wish that I would've been worth it
Somebody that you could've loved
Spent so long trying to be what you wanted
And it kills me that I never was
Some days, I forget your face
Like you were never there
And some days, it's like I'm right back in the place where we stood
And I wonder, did you ever
Find somebody better?
Somebody who can make you feel the way I never could?
I wish that I would've been worth it
Somebody that you could've loved
Spent so long tryna be what you wanted
And it kills me that I never was
Yeah, I told myself
That you were gonna come round
But I lost myself
In the waiting
I wish that I would've been worth it
Somebody that you could've loved
Spent so long tryna be what you wanted
And it kills me that I never was
And it kills me that I never was
Yeah, it kills me that I never was
