Back then they didn't know me
7th grade boy in the back row seats
Back then they couldn't hold me
New kid here he rapping on beats
Back then they didn't like me
We did the same things but they wasn't like me
Back then, they couldn't find me
Come to my shows if you wanna find me
Now they act different like they loved me since the old days
I ain't see yo face when I was rapping in the cold days
Name so hard, can you change it, like no way
I've been on the low, mixtapes with no face
Dry with my therapist, don't know how I feel
Friends in high places and friends that are high still
most underrated and coming from my field
If we talking bout success I'll tell you how mine feels
Yeah
Flying 20 hours never felt so right
Man, homie, cut the lights
This the pack that we light up
Now I'm high, flight attendant
And they wait on my arrival
All these fake people in my life
Who wanna take my title
I know people in my contacts
Who be suicidal
And they meet me at church
Reading scripture in the Bible
It's a cold world man
And people in denial
That my upwards spiral
Put the city on fire
Now I'm famous, I'm viral
And now they treat me different
Bring the crew to the studio
Pictures with them in it
It's good to reminisce
Haven't done that in a minute
Cuz everything I do
Related to the business
Yeah, I have a busy body
Now they all went up on me
My mom can't call me
Won't believe me if you saw it
In these shows I be crowded
Never knew I had an impact
Didn't think about it
Kay, yeah, maybe I'm young
Grew up too fast, didn't play that much
May that song be the one
That the people know me by
And the place that I'm from
Kay, yeah, maybe I'm not
Everything I say, but at least im some
What right about the things
Im someone who thinks
They should leave it up to me
Im not tryna be somebody else though
But every page that I throw away I beat myself up fo
Too many nights tryna get my name on billboards
Chasing all these bands, there's a reason I don't run slow
All these fake shooters, I'm tired of the gun smoke
Show me sum gangster, Jesus dying on the cross though
Nails on His body, He still cried out love though
Rose from the grave three days, that's my hope
Back then they didn't know me
7th grade boy in the back row seats
Back then they couldn't hold me
New kid here he rapping on beats
Back then they didn't like me
We did the same things but they wasn't like me
Back then, they couldn't find me
Come to my shows if you wanna find me
I was never poor
Never thought of having more
Content with my family
I always did my chores
Didn't do it for the money
I did it for my mom
Ever since dad died
She been holding strong
Now she be getting older
Can't even lie her heart got colder
She trained us like soldiers
Whatever space I'm in
I'll always be sober
Whatever space you're in
I'll always be open
Yeah, I know life sucks, you've ain't sleeping well
Yeah, all these lights in my face, it ain't good for your health
Yeah, did me so cruel but I hope you're doing well
Yeah, spit flames in the booth, my face bouta melt
Back then they didn't know me
7th grade boy in the back row seats
Back then they couldn't hold me
New kid here he rapping on beats
Back then they didn't like me
We did the same things but they wasn't like me
Back then, they couldn't find me
Come to my shows if you wanna find me
