Way back when we were
Way, way back when we were
It was all up all night on the phone too late
We were both just fine with the okay grades
Sneaking out of history, we call it a day
Car keys, burnt CD on replay
Hardly ever even knew where we were going
Windows weren't the only thing that we were rolling down
Blasting Outkast all around that town
Way back when we were classic
In the backseat of my dad's Cadillac
And straight laughing from the weed we were passing
Talking cheerleader letterman jacket
Laid back, way back when we were classic
Way back when we were classic
It was kissing under bleachers at the end of the week
Flip phones, end zones, and spiked tie seats
Your sideways smiley face is working on me
Thought that's how it would always be
Way back when we were classic
In the backseat of my dad's Cadillac
And straight laughing from the weed we were passing
Talking cheerleader letterman jacket
Laid back, way back when we were classic
Way, way back when we were classic
Way, way back when we were
Way, way back when we were classic, classic
If I had a time machine, baby
I'd rewind and never leave, baby
You know I'd take you back with me, baby
With me, baby
Way back when we were classic
In the backseat of my dad's Cadillac
And straight laughing from the weed we were passing
Talking cheerleader letterman jacket
Way back when we were classic
In the backseat of my dad's Cadillac
And straight laughing from the weed we were passing
Talking cheerleader letterman jacket
Laid back, way back when we were classic
Way back when we were classic
Classic
Classic, classic
