Lyrics

I used to have a monkey jumping up and down I used to have a monkey jumping up and down Now the monkey's off my back But the circus is still in town They call it monkey business Cause the monkey's don't play You got to feed that monkey each and every day He'll have you running the streets Swinging from the vines Monkey gets hungry on monkey time I used to have a monkey jumping up and down Now the monkey's off my back But the circus is still in town Now when I met that monkey he was a cute little guy But it didn't take long he got gorilla-sized He had me ripping and running trying to stay on the nod I tell you feeding that monkey was a full time job I used to have a monkey jumping up and down Now the monkey's off my back But the circus is still in town HARP SOLO The monkey's off of my back But the circus ain't gone Clowns and the side show freaks live on The monkey is laying low as far as I can tell But I know he's out there waiting and he's still alive and well I used to have a monkey jumping up and down Now the monkey's off my back But the circus is still in town SOLO Don't you do what I did You better do what I say And if you see that monkey, run the other way Jail house, nut house, sleeping on the ground That's what you gonna get you let that monkey stick around I used to have a monkey jumping up and down Now the monkey's off my back But the circus is still in town HARP SOLO
