I know Jesus is the one who came to me
When I was almost gone, ooh
He brought peace to my dying soul
And old Satan had to go
He reached out and took my hand
I didn't know then
But now I understand, ooh
It was Jesus who gave me medicine
Jesus, he will lead me to that promised land
Lord, one day when I was walking alone (one day, one day)
I heard a voice but then I saw no one (I heard a voice)
Then I stopped and fell down on my knees (I stopped)
I told the Lord how the world been treating me (told the Lord)
Oh, after a while I won't have to worry (after a while, won't have to worry)
I know my Lord is going to call for me (know my Lord)
Then I'm going to be with him (then I'm going)
In that home (in that sweet home)
In that promised land (in that promised land)
I thank you Jesus (I thank you Jesus)
For what you've done for me
Lord, you died on way on Cavalry (I know you died)
Lord, you saved (oh, yes you did)
You saved my soul that day
And I'll always walk that narrow way (and I'll always walk that narrow way)
You promised me (you promised me)
You would always (always be beside me)
Promised me (you promised me)
You would hold (hold my hand)
Then I'm going (then I'm going)
You know I'm going (yes I'm going)
You know I'm going (yes I'm going)
You know I'm going (yes I'm going)
May be blind (yes I'm going)
But I'm going (yes I'm going)
May be crippled (yes I'm going)
But I'm going (yes I'm going)
May be lame (yes I'm going)
But I'm going (yes I'm going)
May be motherless (yes I'm going)
But I'm going (yes I'm going)
May be fatherless (yes I'm going)
But I'm going (yes I'm going)
I know I'm going (yes I'm going, yes I'm going)
Be with him, Lord (to be with him)
In that sweet home (in that sweet home)
In that promised land (in that promised land)
