Reece, take 'em to church
Know that every win gon' come with the Ls, ay (Gon' come with the Ls)
Pointed out my flaws, bro it never failed
Got it out the mud, not a wishing well
No one told me this would be a fairytale
But every time I bounce back
Every time I bounce back, oh-oh
Every time I bounce back
Don't ever doubt that (Woah)
Yeah, uh
I stay grounded off of all them nights I slept on the floor
And foggy mornings in The Bay taught me to weather the storm
My mom saw report cards, "What's all them Fs on it for"
Distracted by this rap shit, this what the effort was for
Skip ahead, a struggle, yeah, now we 'bout to fast forward
I shook the hand of 40-Water like, "You met me before"
I just didn't have as large of arsenal of records before
At 15 at meet and greet, just tryna get in the door
Gave you a CD I burned, you said "It's so much to learn"
When I was young and insecure
Now how them tables have turned
I thought you'd sign me on the spot, guess I had lessons to learn
I had to wait for my turn, it's higher blessings to earn
I used to dream of a sick with it or a rock chain
Hov gave me the blueprint, how to maneuver when them shots came
Some homies had hoop dreams, watch it, he got game
Lookin' at Jesus, praying to Jesus that my life changed
I Steph Curry'd this sport, took shots from half court
I already had scans of four stamps on my passport
Before the black Porsche, before I met Scott Storch
Before I had Source covers, I was reading The Source
Now I'm the inspiration for those who needing a source
The Jedi said I should come re-even the force
I used to close my eyes and dream they'll leave me the torch
Then I opened them like, "Damn, must be dreaming of course"
Know that every win gon' come with the Ls, ay (Gon' come with the Ls)
Pointed out my flaws, bro it never failed
Got it out the mud, not a wishing well
No one told me this would be a fairytale
But every time I bounce back
Every time I bounce back, oh-oh
Every time I bounce back
Don't ever doubt that (Woah)
Look, ay
Life ain't always been roses and hella daffodils
We walk outside, but where we takin' strides feel like a battlefield
I pray to God, but if there is a God, I hope he grabs the wheel
I learned how to maneuver them obstacles doing ladder drills
How can I complain when my problems ain't even half as real
As needles in the arm and dialysis make my daddy feel
They scan my momma body and told us that it was cancer-filled
Family prayers lookin' for answers, give her a chance to heal
But I can bare the weight of the world 'cause I'm a phenom
Hop in that Model Y and blast off, feelin' like Elon
Them shoulder presses turn me into a shoulder to lean on
I'm catching all these blessings, getting my AJ Green on
Alienated 'round the fake shit, right, think I'm Klingon
But when you on that star track, everyone wanna cling on
I'm in franchise mode tryna put my team on
Franchise boys, gold grills and white tees on
We never change (Ay)
Know that every win gon' come with the Ls, ay (Gon' come with the Ls)
Pointed out my flaws, bro it never failed
Got it out the mud, not a wishing well
No one told me this would be a fairytale
But every time I bounce back
Every time I bounce back, oh-oh
Every time I bounce back
Don't ever doubt that (Woah)
When you ain't strong enough
Who you gon' depend on?
Who gon' do it?
Who gon' get you through it?
When you ain't strong enough
Who you gon' depend on?
Who gon' do it?
Who gon' get you through it?
