The song can be heard as advice to someone leaving, but it is not completely detached: the speaker also admits wanting to be close to the other person and their dreams. “Crystal vision” might suggest a strong intuition about what will happen, though the speaker keeps this vision private. The repeated promise “you’ll know” sounds confident, yet the lyrics do not say exactly what the person will learn—or whether that understanding will bring comfort.
