Lyrics
Every time I turn down old county road three
This Chevy's like a short bedtime machine
Head on my shoulder, Chetah hootin' up loud
You dashboard drummin', I can see it right now
Come on, take me back road
To that seventeen summer stars that we were under
Back when we came real close
To ridin' it the rest of our lives
I wonder why we said goodbye
Every time I go down that take me back road
Take me back road
Park by a boat ramp, feet hangin' off the dock
Turn into midnight blanket on a rock
When we pass that spot, it turns back the clock
Come on, take me back road
To that seventeen summer stars that we were under
Back when we came real close
To ridin' it the rest of our lives
I wonder why we said goodbye
Every time I go down that take me back road
Take me back road
Come on, take me back road
To that seventeen summer stars that we were under
Back when we came real close
To ridin' it the rest of our lives
I wonder why we said goodbye
Every time I go down that take me back road
Take me back road
