Should I just wear a halo?
'Cause I already know too many angels (know too many angels)
Should I just wear a halo? (Mhm)
'Cause I already know too many angels (know too many angels, angels), yeah
Yeah
I've been grinding all my life, chasing dreams
Not really paying attention what it do to my health
And I could tell you that this life ain't what it seems
But no matter what it is, I stay true to myself
I say, "Young nigga rumble and stay humble through the fake shit"
All this money and bad bitches, I'm in the matrix
Tryna be successful and still fighting open cases
At times, I get angry at God, like, "Why you take Nip'?"
Got me losing hope in the hood, I'm feeling hatred
From niggas that look just like me, same color faces
She say she ain't fuck in a year, I told her, "Taste it"
She did it on the first night, and I'm looking for my first wife
Tryna find trust in my heart, but it don't work right
Think I'm getting numb to the pain, 'cause it don't hurt right
I just wanna go to my hood, wheelie a dirt bike
And post up on the block with the ones that think
That I forgot how we was standing on the corner with them Glocks
But I know if I go back to that corner, I'll get shot
Or get robbed, in a box to make me fade away
I miss y'all too but this my calling to go pave a way, for real
Should I just wear a halo?
'Cause I already know too many angels (know too many angels)
Should I just wear a halo? (Mhm)
'Cause I already know too many angels (know too many angels, angels), yeah
Yeah
And everybody competing on social media
Shit is fake, all it did was make us greedier
I got it all, and I be still feeling needier
Tryna shine for all the times they ain't believe in us
So I kinda relate when I see you being fake
Shorty, take that makeup off, I wanna see your face
Standing in the club, popping bottles, sipping Ace
Looking at the people, looking at me like I'm straight
Knowing I've been going through some shit that I don't speak about
Lately, I've been stressing 'bout, man, fuck it, I'ma leave it out
Let 'em know my business, they gon' judge me, fuck it, keep 'em out
I been soul searching all alone, digging deeper now
Tryna find my truth, dream chasing as a youth
Last night, shit, I was stressing, I woke up and bought a coupe
Put it on the 'Gram and made a caption, that was cool
But I feel better when I'm picking Papi up from school
Just chilling with my mom
This feel better than when I'm chillin' with a dime, 'cause I know
All these hoes they ain't really on my side and I know
Say you're my bro', but he ain't really down to slide
And it's a few that got my back, and I could feel it in my spine
And we gon' chase these dreams
Pray the money never make me change
But I got two just to make these lanes
'Cause it's gon' make me aim even higher than ever
Sincerely yours, you know I'm grinding forever
Should I just wear a halo?
('Cause I already-) 'cause I already know too many angels
Should I just wear a halo? (Halo)
('Cause I already-) 'cause I already know too many angels
Though it gets hard for me, gotta make a living (a living)
Nigga got mouths to feed, can't turn up missing
Niggas do wrong by me, I'm unforgiving
Should I just wear a halo?
