Lyrics meaning

The song is a playful, teasing exchange built around the speaker’s claim that he knows more than someone he calls a “little donkey.” He then presents himself as a popular singer and poet who can make many songs from just a few letters. The repeated chorus makes the mood comic and catchy, while his growing claims—eventually saying he knows more than everyone—turn ordinary boasting into an exaggerated performance.

The vowels “A, E, I, O, U” suggest a very basic lesson in the alphabet. Saying that the other person “doesn’t even know the U” is a joking way to call them ignorant, not necessarily a serious judgment. “Borriquito,” or “little donkey,” is another teasing insult. The singer also says his accent makes him sound foreign, then explains that he is from Vigo and uses the name Peter though his name is Pedro. This plays with the difference between how someone sounds and who they say they are.

The speaker may be mocking the person he addresses, but the repeated, increasingly extravagant self-praise also invites listeners to laugh at his own vanity. The lyrics do not clearly identify the target or explain whether the boasts are meant to be believed. The simplest reading is that the song enjoys playful rivalry, repetition, and comic exaggeration rather than offering a serious argument about intelligence.
