Lyrics
Well I went across the border down in Tijuana
I fell in love with a sweet little Spanish moon
The mariachis played and I danced and swayed with Margarita
'Til Jose came along to claim his pretty senorita
I was a lightweight contender in a heavyweight bout
My nose went north and my legs went south
I went fifteen rounds with Jose Cuervo last night
Oh I can't remember but it had to be a hell of a fight
He must have hit me hard and went straight for the head
I came to this morning about half dead
I went fifteen rounds with Jose Cuervo last night
Well just last night I hit the neon light to drown my sorrow
On twenty-two dollars and a handful of change that I borrowed
Yes I guess you'd say that old Jose's undefeated
I had him in a bottle and still I couldn't beat him
Well I picked him up and I threw him down
I went for the gusto, went for the count
I went fifteen rounds with Jose Cuervo last night
Oh I can't remember but it had to be a hell of a fight
He must have hit me hard and went straight for the head
I came to this morning about half dead
I went fifteen rounds with Jose Cuervo last night
He must have hit me hard and went straight for the head
I came to this morning about half dead
I went fifteen rounds with Jose Cuervo last night
