Blockbuster

The lyrics tell a playful horror story about a threatening figure named Buster. The singer warns listeners to be cautious, while the repeated questions show that nobody knows how to stop him. The mood mixes fear with theatrical humor: the danger sounds serious, but the exaggerated warnings and confused responses make the story feel like a comic chase.

Several phrases create suspense through familiar images. “Keep looking behind” suggests someone feels pursued and cannot relax. Buster’s “disguise” implies that his true nature is hidden, though the lyrics never explain what he looks like or why he is dangerous. “Steal your woman out from under your nose” is an idiom: it means taking someone’s romantic partner while the person is unaware, not literally stealing her.

The song can be heard as a deliberately over-the-top tale rather than a realistic account. Buster may represent a villain in a campy thriller, and the police’s repeated confusion adds to the joke. The word “blockbuster” seems to turn his name into a dramatic, chantable refrain, but its exact meaning in the story is unclear. The lyrics invite listeners to enjoy the suspense without resolving whether Buster is meant to be genuinely frightening or mostly amusing.
