I was sittin' at a rundown bar somewhere on the border
Pretty girl comin' up to me, I looked over my shoulder
We get to talkin', she's movin' in a little closer
Says, "Is this spot taken?" I say, "Depends on your order"
Please don't ask for a tequila sunrise
'Cause I'll start thinkin' about all of those nights
With her and all of those memories of what we used to be
I don't wanna see her in your seat
Darlin', please just order anything else
Bartender, I could use a little help
To keep me from seein' her in your eyes
So, girl, don't order a tequila sunrise
You could shoot it straight with a little chaser
Throw back a couple cold Coors Lights, or whiskey and then water
Margarita, little salt on the rim, yeah, it could be anything
Whatever you want, I'm orderin'
Just don't ask for a tequila sunrise
'Cause I'll start thinkin' about all of those nights
With her and all of those memories of what we used to be
I don't wanna see her in your seat
Darlin', please just order anything else
Bartender, I could use a little help
To keep me from seein' her in your eyes
So, girl, don't order a tequila sunrise
Yeah, if you're gonna keep starin'
At my lips like you are right now
And lean in for a kiss, well, that's cool
'Cause I don't wanna have to shut you down
Please don't ask for a tequila sunrise
'Cause I'll start thinkin' about all of those nights
With her and all of those memories of what we used to be
I don't wanna see her in your seat
Darlin', please just order anything else
Bartender, I could use a little help
To keep me from seein' her in your eyes
So, girl, don't order a tequila sunrise
