Be merciful to me, O God
According to Your great love
According to Your great compassion
Blot out my transgressions
Wash away all of my guilt
And cleanse me from my sin
For I know my transgressions
And my sin is always before me
Against You, and You alone
I've sinned and done evil in Your sight
So You're just in Your words
And blameless when You judge
For I was born into iniquity
Sinful when I was conceived
Oh, You desire truth in the inmost part
You teach me wisdom in the secret heart
Purge me with hyssop and I'll be clean
Wash me and I will be whiter than snow
Whiter than snow
Let me hear joy and gladness
Let the bones that You have broken rejoice
Hide Your face from my sins
And blot out all my iniquities
And create within me
A clean heart, O God
Create in me a clean heart, O God
Renew a right spirit within me
And do not cast me from Your presence
Take not Your Holy Spirit away from me
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation
Sustain me with a willing spirit
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways
And sinners will return to You
Forgive me for shedding blood, O God
O God of my salvation
Then I will sing joyfully of Your righteousness
O LORD, open my lips
And my mouth will declare Your praise
For You don't delight in sacrifice
Or that's what I would bring
You don't want burnt offering
For the sacrifices of God
Are a broken spirit
A broken contrite heart You'll not despise
O God, show favor to Zion in Your good pleasure
Build up the walls of Jerusalem
Then You'll delight in righteous sacrifices
And in burnt offerings
Whole burnt offerings
Then bulls will be offered on Your altar
Right sacrifice
Pure sacrifice
