Lyrics meaning

The lyrics turn the familiar story of three little pigs and a wolf into a comic tale set around Hollywood. Each pig has a different lifestyle and builds a different kind of home. The first two homes fail when the wolf attacks, but the third pig’s solid house survives. The mood is playful and exaggerated, with the ending shifting from a simple victory to a joke at the performers’ own expense.

The repeated line “I’ll blow your house in” echoes the traditional wolf’s threat and gives the song its comic refrain. “Built his house out of straw” and “old cans and sticks” suggest makeshift, weak shelter, while the third pig’s concrete house stands for careful planning and security. “Huffin’ and puffin’” means breathing hard, but here it also makes the wolf’s attack sound like a ridiculous boast.

The story seems to reward preparation: the pig with a strong house is protected when the others are not. Yet the final “moral” undercuts that lesson by saying the band itself has “no talent” and entertains people with a silly puppet show. This may be self-mockery, but it also leaves the listener to decide whether the song is mainly retelling a fable, parodying it, or poking fun at its own deliberately crude humor.
