All Guns Blazing

The lyrics create a picture of extreme, relentless violence. The speaker seems caught in a struggle for survival, driven by anger and physical force. The repeated phrase “all guns blazing” suggests an all-out attack, with no restraint or pause. The mood grows from pain and tension into a fierce, almost unstoppable rush of action.

Many images turn the conflict into a machine or natural disaster. “Full throttle” and “overdrive” suggest a vehicle pushed beyond its normal limits, while “thunder” and “hurricane” make the force feel huge and uncontrollable. Images of claws, poison, and blades make the danger feel close and bodily. These descriptions are likely exaggerated, creating a dramatic impression rather than a realistic account.

The lyrics do not explain who is fighting, or whether the violence is literal. The repeated calls to attack could express a rush of aggression, a desperate defense, or a fantasy of power in a threatening situation. Even the phrase “God of salvation” is ambiguous: it may suggest a powerful rescuer, or it may add to the song’s larger, almost mythic imagery. Overall, the words celebrate force while also making it sound frightening and destructive.
