Lyrics
On an old rugged cross
My savior redeemed me
Paid my sin debt
And wiped the slate clean
Took away all the fear
That I had of dying
I'll not be afraid
When it's my time to leave
I'll not be afraid
When the death angel calls me
When the raging waters
Of the river I'll see
I'll keep holding on
To the promise he made
When I leave this old world
I'll not be afraid
Death, hell and the grave
Was forever defeated
When on the third day
Jesus rose from the grave
Because he lives
I have the assurance
When its my time to go
I'll not be afraid
I'll not be afraid
When the death angel calls me
When the raging waters
Of the river I'll see
I'll keep holding on
To the promise he made
When I leave this old world
I'll not be afraid
I'll not be afraid
When the death angel calls me
When the raging waters
Of the river I'll see
I'll keep holding on
To the promise he made
When I leave this old world
I'll not be afraid
