Now
Now, the thought came
But far behind was small pain
The thought came for me to elevate
But let me illustrate what innovated me
You see, I was unlike Travis, never the highest in the room
And that gave me an itch, could not reach it
Even at my lowest, I had dreams beyond reaching
Always bitching that I can be better
But I still had talents I needed to unleash and
I had negative thoughts that were sucking me up
So I needed to unleech thoroughly
Verbally I still can't express how my mind is
So I picked up my pen, started rhyming again
Back then my friends got game and I got nay
'Shot my shot and I got shut down
Then I gave up and figured it wasn't the time to play anymore
They rated me one
But now I'm the one that makes the musical tens
Don't get me wrong
I never hated my friends, I just hated myself
For not being able to catch up with them but never again
Will anything make me feel less of a man
And that's how my story began, yeah and that's how my sto
Yeah, So I took the steps and tried my best then every blessed day
Bro, I wrote the songs and lifted weights until I felt okay (yeah)
I didn't given a damn, about them all
Or what they had to say (okay)
It was me alone towards my goals
Yeah, ALL THE WAY
Now I was on the bus creating buzz
Then afterwards, I got applause
Who would have thought, what were the odds
You see, the real G is the future me
So F.U.C.K that was. Backwards never
Mind in the future
'Futuristic like I'm Black Mirror
You all can not see that I'm way ahead my time
Fine, I'm not an OG
But always and forever, I'll bet on my grind
I'm only getting better with time
My music, ageing better than wine
That's why at first listen, you loose track of time
Timeless track, it gets better each day
When I came to the UK
It got so cold, my heart changed
But it's okay
Okay, my mind playing tricks low-key
I can't let fear hold me
I have big dreams, so I'm having no sleep
Yes, still I'm worried
But I can't let fear hold me
I'm slowly growing from the old me
'Knew pain would mould me
'Never having cold feet
I stand tall on both feet
But I still gotta keep a level head
After all is done and said
It all depends on how I lay my bed (Yeah)
So, I take the steps (Come on)
And try my best now every blessed day
Bro, I write the songs
And lift the weights until I feel okay (okay)
I don't give a damn, about them all
Or what they have to say
It's me alone towards my goals
Yeah, ALL THE WAY
So, I took the steps and tried my best, then every blessed day
Bro, I wrote the songs and lifted weights until I felt okay
I didn't give a damn about them all
Or what they had to say
It was me alone towards my goals ALL THE
(Come on, come on, come on)
(Yeah, it's about to all change, my guy)
(Yeah, Haha, let's go)
Okay
Okay, hey, I keep on changing pace
Cause there've been days
That, I'm impatient to make it
Then life finds my grit, then breaks it
The breaks hit on it all
Then I sit, question, and contemplate
Wait! What am I doubting for?
Four years, that is all, I need to be sure
Sure, you've heard this before
But I assure you that I am a sure thing
Like sand on the beach
My rap ain't capping just for streams
Overflowing to the point I'm breathing steams
Might trigger my asthma with a flow so cold
Please hand me my vetolin
Eventually, I'm gonna take over
It's just meant to be
I don't care if you don't believe
I don't care if you're on board or not
You see, I'm not Noah
I'm far from perfect, but I'm getting closer
As I'm getting older, I'm getting bolder
To the rocks that life throws at me atrociously
And I reach for the sky
And trust in thee to guide me achieve my dreams
Starring me and I
The story of the start of a legacy
Like a seasaw, there'll be ups and downs
But I'll try to balance it all with my unbalanced mind
The downside of having a creative mind
Yeah, I'm still creating lies
Yeah, I tell myself around frustrating times
Yeah, but I'll be good in time
Yeah!
Now, once in a while, I look back at the time
When I had a different state of mind
I guess I had to
Experience a canon event to kinda repaint
And see the bigger picture
It's my life. Gotta take it like Cole
And be in control like Big Sean
I'm on a mission, I've got a vision
You're missing the point
You haven't yet listened
I found my way through music
I ain't never losing, nah ah
I'm jumping whomever is raising the bar
I study the greats like Marsh(all) for the bar
Just have some faith and give me a shot like you work in the bar
Yeah, yeah
Let me hear the hurrah
Now, I laugh at the people that say
I wouldn't get far
Close minded
You didn't see a future? But guess what I did
Look, get your eyes checked because I check things off my list
While your New Year's resolution has gone
Shhh!
Make moves don't make announcements
I'm so sure of myself
Because the fire's always burning
Back then, I had to get roasted
Just to get the fire burning
Bro, revenge is a dish best served cold
And success is the greatest revenge the greats said so
And I just said it, though. I guess that makes me the
