Dale Evans, Queen of the West
Of all the singing cowgirls, she's the best
She rode the trail to fame, upon the silver screen
Dale Evans, Queen of the West
On a cool October morning
A little baby girl was born, in a tiny, dusty Texas town
Her mom and daddy named her this, Frances Octavia Smith
Said, "Someday, she'll make us very proud"
She grew up to be a star, and famous
Now we all know, what her movie name is
Dale Evans, Queen of the West
Of all the singing cowgirls, she's the best
She rode the trail to fame, upon the silver screen
Dale Evans, Queen of the West
Roy Rogers, needed long ago, a heroine for a movie
So, the cowboy, and the senorita, met
Soon their true love, did prevail
They rode together, down the trail
And on one special, New Year's Eve, they wed
Fifty years of joy and tears, they weathered
They rode many happy trails, together
Many children, came along
To bless their love, and fill their home
Tommy, Dusty, Cheryl, all were there
Sandy, Dodie, Debbie too, Marion and Linda Lou
Robin, little Angel unaware
Dale gave them a love, that can't be measured
Dale Evans, is a true, national treasure
Dale Evans, Queen of the West
Of all the singing cowgirls, she's the best
She rode the trail to fame, upon the silver screen
Dale Evans, Queen of the West
Dale Evans, Queen of the West
