Loca People (Original)

The lyrics describe a speaker arriving in Spain and finding people partying with surprising energy. At first, the speaker reacts with disbelief and repeatedly asks, “What the fuck?” Later, the repeated cheers make the mood feel less like shock and more like joining in or celebrating the nightlife.

The phrase “all day, all night” suggests that the partying seems to continue without a break. “Viva la fiesta,” “Viva la noche,” and “Viva los DJs” are Spanish cheers meaning roughly “Long live the party,” “Long live the night,” and “Long live the DJs.” The line “la gente está muy loca” means “the people are very crazy,” but here “crazy” can suggest wild, excited, or uninhibited rather than mentally unwell.

The lyrics are deliberately repetitive and simple, so their effect comes mainly from rhythm, surprise, and enthusiasm rather than a developing story. The speaker may be amused, overwhelmed, or impressed by the scene; the repeated exclamation leaves that reaction open. By the end, the song sounds like a celebration of an intense party atmosphere, though it is not clear whether the speaker is fully participating or still watching it with astonishment.
