Little Miss Strange

The lyrics describe a mysterious woman who appears unexpectedly and leaves the speaker unsure of what happened. At first, he wonders where she comes from and whether she might be dangerous. Later, he recalls her entering his room, but his memory is unclear. The mood shifts between curiosity, attraction, and confusion rather than reaching a clear conclusion.

Several images make her seem dreamlike. “Maybe she’s a devil in disguise” suggests that she could be more troubling than she first appears, though the speaker admits he cannot judge her by her eyes. “Came out of the darkness” gives her entrance a sudden, almost supernatural quality. The phrase “walked across my head” is unusual and may mean she has taken over his thoughts, or it may belong to the song’s playful, surreal imagery.

The speaker’s uncertainty is central: he cannot tell who she is, what to ask her, or what they did afterward. This could suggest an intense but hazy encounter, perhaps remembered like a dream. The lyrics do not explain whether she is a real person, a fantasy, or a symbol of something unfamiliar. Her mystery may be part of the attraction, but it also leaves the speaker unsettled.
