Lyrics
i was fishin last friday
on the lake mississippi
in the humid summer heat
on a boat with my best freind cleatus
who was sittin in the back seat
well the bights were slow we were
runnin low on chips and gatorade
it been a long hard day
i felt a tug on the line
and i didnt pay attention
it was spinnin way to fast
before i knew it i was starin
at a 10 pound shiny bass
when i tried to pull the fish inside
i pull a musle in my upper thigh
and i was so scared
i threw my rod in the air
cletus take the reel
take it from my hand
because i cant do this
all night long
im lettin go
i need your help man
and if you know my fish
is gone oh cletus take the reel
felt a tug on the line
i didnt pay
