Do you ever just get to wonderin' 'bout the way things are today
So many onboard the gospel ship, tryin' to row it a different way
If we'd all pull together like a family, me and you
We'd come a lot closer to doin' what the Lord called us to do
Jesus built this church on love, on love and that's what it's all about
Tryin' to get everybody saved, not to keep anybody out
The door's wide open, and just as big as the Father's heart above
I'm glad He said whosoever will, Jesus built this church on love
When the shepherd found the lost sheep wonderin' from the fold
In lovin' arms You held me, Lord, and You did not blame or scold
Now, we could learn a lesson that would make all our efforts blessed
Our methods and our message must be filled with tenderness
Jesus built this church on love, on love and that's what it's all about
Tryin' to get everybody saved, not to keep anybody out
The door's wide open, and just as big as the Father's heart above
I'm glad He said whosoever will, Jesus built this church on love
Oh, Jesus built this church on love, on love and that's what it's all about
Tryin' to get everybody saved, not to keep anybody out
The door's wide open, and just as big as the Father's heart above
I'm glad He said whosoever will, Jesus built this church on love
I'm glad He said whosoever will, Jesus built this church on love
Jesus built this church on love
