Oh, I'm reminded when they used to have big meetings
Oh, back home from Monday through Sunday
Every night a different preacher would preach
And on Sunday night was my grandfather's time to preach
They didn't call them revivals back then
They were just known as big meetings
I remember my grandfather going through the countryside
Telling the people in the country, we're going to have a big meeting all next week
We used to have what they call a good time
Oh, back home
Come on and meet me at the revival
Come on and meet me at the revival
Oh, the preacher will be preaching
Econ will be teaching
Come on and meet me at the revival
Oh, come on and meet me at the revival
You need to come on (Come on and meet me at the revival)
The choir will be singing, while the Meagre will be kneeling
Come on and meet me at the Revival
Listen, you better get in a hurry
You might not get a seat
People coming from everywhere hear your pastor speak
When you get inside, there just might not be no room
People standing around the wall because they want to be there too
You need to come on and meet me at the Revival
You need to come on and meet me at the Revival
What a preacher I will be preaching
The deacons will be teaching
Come on and meet me at the Revival
Listen to this, I've started praying
He fell down on his knees
Mama started down the aisle, headed straight toward me
When she took my hand, something got all over me
That's when my feet got light
I believed Jesus turned me, and I said
Come on and meet me at the revival
Oh, come on and meet me at the revival
The choir will be singing, the jacks will be kneeling
Come on and meet me at the revival
The preachers will be preaching (Yes, they will)
The deacons will be teaching (Yes)
The choirs will be singing
You can hear the church bells ringing
People will be clapping!
All laughing and crying and screaming!
Oh, somebody will be there to say it again
When I go to the revival, I'll have a good time
Back to revival
Back to revival (Back to revival)
Back to revival (I want to go to the revival)
Back to revival (Some good things used to happen at that old-fashioned revival)
Back to revival (I'm glad I went to the revival)
I went to the Revival (Back to revival)
Back to revival
Back to revival (Clear hill of Alabama)
Back to revival
Now let me explain something (Back to revival)
About that revival they had something they call them
In the center they would take their seat on the moon's bench (Back to revival)
The saints would get up and come down and pray for them
And when the Holy Ghost will get on those sinners
They will take off and run through the church
I'm not a majority (Back to revival)
We'll get up and give out a rose (Back to revival)
She might say something like It's letting in (Back to revival)
And the sun Is going down (Back to revival)
While she was trying to solve those sinners (Back to revival)
You're about to get in the house! (Back to revival)
