Lyrics
This song confronts homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny. While collectively we canโt speak to every lived experience, we stand as allies, and we want nothing but freedom, fairness, and equality for all. Marginalized communitiesโLGBTQIA+ folks, women fighting for bodily autonomy, and so many othersโdeserve to live without fear or judgment. These are our friends, family and neighbours.
We challenge those who condemn others to reflect on their biases. Someone elseโs identity and choices do not affect youโso let people be themselves.
We've had this release planned for months, but with everything happening in the world, this message now feels more urgent than ever.
Open Your Eyes is our stand against ignoranceโand a middle finger to intolerance.
FUCK HATE.
lyrics
It must be nice sitting in your ivory tower
Upon your throne
Looking down on all of us
Judging choices that arenโt your own
Open your eyes, canโt you see
Youโre full of hate and jealousy
Riding in on your high horse
Criticizing just for fun
Why do you care so damn much
Theyโre not hurting anyone
Open your eyes, canโt you see
Youโre full of hate and jealousy
Open your eyes, we all see
Youโre full of hate and jealousy
Youโre not fooling us
With your charade
Youโre not fooling us
Weโre not afraid
And we wonโt take it anymore
No, youโre not fooling us
Open your eyes, canโt you see
Youโre full of hate and jealousy
Open your eyes, we all see
Youโre full of hate and jealousy
Jealousy
Jealousy
Youโre full of hate and jealousy
