We're into trillions deficit in this country
We're running on paper money, there's no-there's no gold
Nobody right now, that's the point
That's why John F. Kennedy got killed
Because he wanted the government to go back to the gold standard
Look (Tony Seltzer)
Woke up, pulled my socks up like I'm playing soccer
Nah, I ain't playing poppa
I stay on top of, no days off
If I ain't making a song, I'm drawing
Making a mock up for the next song I'm dropping
My life is my job, when I wake up take Tonka
Spark upon until late rawdogging baby momma
All the drama ends up on the latest CD ram
Livestreaming now, hard keeping up with all the change
Seems constantly the game is altered too often
Thought they lost him game made another orphan
The scholar, the only saw a couple dollars
After all the tours now I'm staying sqalla
I prayed to be a baller, ended up a raging alcoholic
Almost gave it up but it's whatever pain they tossed him
Fuck that, I got too much heat to wait for offers
Thought about it, Wik got too much reach to take your offers
Y'all made a monster, made me this way the crazy doctor
The crazy part became a god say your Our Fathers
I'm y'all fathers, so on Father's Day make sure that y'all calling
But really just a kid with a baseball cap, a Spalding
Following whatever it is his mom taught him
The golden child holding down
'93 they wrote him out
I rode on a 2012 drove it down
2018 when they threw him out
Life goes on, ain't shit you can do about it
Tell me how you doing now kid, how you been?
I know who you move around with
A whole lot of way it can be hard to live
I pray not to just be okay but that you get it in
I just found a whole new route I'm moving down
It's on my dolly don't need a whole crowd to be down with
These days I be lonely when my crew be down
But nothing that they told me, I know truth about it
Bringing it, ho, I'm taking this damn notes quotes
Saying I'm loud po, the mayor of the town, dope so
Telling it better, telling it better
Writing it clever and making it sound no Helen Keller
With the pen I was Penn & Teller
I got a record, a record, a record
I gotta
In his head is a register, nothing at all
Know they be busting my balls
Learned to speak from emcees, reason I talk how I talk
Educated, didn't go to college still acting like I'm from New York
I'd be a liar if I said I ain't tried to remember the sport
Tried to retire, inspired 'em all but I couldn't get with the flaw
I was on fire up on the core they were just press and record
Medals on my chest taking took on the metro
I make gold they left green specs on my neck except for the emerald
Have a pocket full of that color come December
Leprechaun what I pretend to be when I was seven
Playground was heaven, staying up late was past eleven
Couldn't stop his attention game caught every every second
When the rain stops it makes its presence
Still making an effort to find the pot of gold they left him
The golden child holding down
'93 they wrote him out
Rode on a 2012 drove it down
2018 when they threw him out
Life goes on, ain't shit you can do about it
Tell me how you doing now kid, how you been?
I know who you move around with
A whole lot of way it can be hard to live
I pray not to just be okay but that you get it in
I just found a whole new route I'm moving down
It's on my dolly don't need a whole crowd to be down with
These days I be lonely when my crew be down
But nothing that they told me, I know truth about it
Jeez, RIP Aunt Louise, saw a lot of her in parts of me
And Aunt TT what I called to see
I ain't know TT mean auntie when I was three
So I'd repeat and rest in peace, lil Dana too
When we lost her it was awful, was far too soon
But knowing her I know it's true
She want me to laugh for as long as I had
And love hard and work hard
And give it up to whoever or whatever I thought was God
And live the fuck out of life before it's up, before I'm out of time
