Une autre histoire

The lyrics describe a fresh beginning after a period of obstacles, disappointments, and fear. The speaker feels that something has changed, making it possible to move forward, forgive, and love again. The repeated idea of starting “another story” gives the song a hopeful, renewing mood, though the change seems to happen almost unexpectedly.

Several images suggest what the speaker is leaving behind. “Bottlenecks” or barriers stand for things that prevented the people from living freely, while shipwrecks and sunken boats suggest painful failures. Clouds that hide the truth imply confusion, and the image of the sun setting can represent hopes or illusions that have faded. In contrast, the new story and new start suggest a chance to begin differently.

The woman’s imagined music and words “in the silence” may suggest affection expressed through creativity, or a new closeness that does not need many spoken explanations. The lyrics do not explain exactly what changed or what happened before, and the speaker admits not knowing why the fear of love has disappeared. This leaves the cause open: the renewal might come from a relationship, a shift in perspective, or simply a willingness to take a chance and let events unfold.
