Beauty And Beast

The speaker presents himself as someone who has been through a difficult, prolonged period but is still moving forward. Repeating “I’m still running” and “I’m still here” suggests persistence, while the repeated thoughts about staying away point to an ongoing effort to resist a distraction or temptation. The mood mixes confidence with strain: success continues, but the struggle has not disappeared.

“Fresh new tires” may suggest repairing or renewing what is needed to keep going. “The checks still clear” refers to money continuing to arrive, so material success sits beside personal challenges. The phrase “redirect” implies trying to change one’s focus or course. “Keep my audience up” could mean maintaining listeners’ attention, or encouraging and energizing them.

The lyrics do not explain exactly what the speaker is trying to avoid, overcome, or redirect himself from. That lack of detail leaves room for different readings: it might be a personal habit, a public pressure, or some other recurring concern. The refrain “Never put me down” sounds like a demand for resilience or support, but it could also be a confident refusal to be defeated. The song’s repetition makes these ideas feel persistent rather than resolved.
