Devil tried to catch me lurking in the shade (shade)
Whispers in the night, trying to the blame (woo-woo, bang)
Chains 'round my feet but my spirit never fade (damn)
Prayer's like grenades, every demon's getting slayed (boom)
Devil tried to get me, but he couldn't take my soul
Walking with the savior, yeah, that's how I roll
Armour 'round my chest, sword sharp, heart bold
Devil saw the righteous glow, he had to lose control (true)
Temptation creeping slow, slippery like a snake (snake)
Enemy be scheming, tryin' to snatch what God make (make)
But I've been forced to fire, scars real, no fake (no)
Blood of the lamb my salvation, no debate
Fell a thousand times but still I found the ground
Grace caught me midair, yeah, his love wraps around
Wolves in disguises, but I peep the sound
Shouting to the heavens, where my faith's profound (bang)
Devil, devil, devil throwing darts, aiming for my dome (dome)
Scripture's my reply, that's the power of the throne
Cross around my neck, but I wear it in my bones
He can't break a king, sitting righteous all alone
Devil tried to get me, but he couldn't take my soul
Walking with the savior, yeah, that's how I roll
Armour 'round my chest, sword sharp, heart bold
Devil saw the righteous glow, he had to lose control (control)
