prajanane brahmā tiṣṭhatu |
Let Brahma be in parts of creation,
pādayor-viṣṇustiṣṭhatu |
Let Vishnu be in my feet,
hastayor-harastiṣṭhatu |
Let Hara be in my hands,
bāhvorindrastiṣṭatu |
Let Indra be in my shoulders,
jaṭhare agnistiṣṭhatu |
Let Fire god be in stomach,
hṛda'ye śivastiṣṭhatu |
Let Lord Shiva be in my heart,
kaṇṭhe vasavastiṣṭhantu |
Let Vasus be in my neck,
vaktre sarasvatī tiṣṭhatu |
Let Goddess Sarawathi be in my mouth,
nāsikayor-vāyustiṣṭhatu |
Let wind god be in my nose,
nayanayoś-candrādityau tiṣṭetām |
Let Sun and Moon be in my eyes,
karṇayoraśvinau tiṣṭetām |
Let Aswini devas be in my ears,
lalāṭe rudrāstiṣṭhantu |
Let Rudras be in my forehead,
mūrthnyādityāstiṣṭhantu |
Let Adhityas be in front portion of my head,
śirasi mahādevastiṣṭhatu |
Let Mahadeva be in the center of my head,
śikhāyāṃ vāmadevāstiṣṭhatu |
Let Vamadeva be in my tuft,
pṛṣṭhe pinākī tiṣṭhatu |
Let Pinaki be at the back of my head,
purataḥ śūlī tiṣṭhatu |
Let Sooli be in the front of my head,
pārśyayoḥ śivāśaṅkarau tiṣṭhetām |
Let Paravathi and Parameshwara be in my left and right,
sarvato vāyustiṣṭhatu |
and let me be surrounded by air on all sides.
tato bahiḥ sarvato gnir-jvālāmālā-parivṛtastiṣṭhatu |
after the air let me be surrounded by flames,
sarveṣvaṅgeṣu sarvā devatā yathāsthānaṃ tiṣṭhantu | māgṃ rakṣantu |
and let all these Gods be in respective organs and protect me.
