Lyrics
it was the thirtieth year
humans they appear
a vision of the beasts and the throne
it was the thirtieth year
written words appear
words of lamentation, mourning and woe
in the forth month
on the fifth day
among the exiles
and the captives
he heard the lord say
from the north - behold
cloud and fire fold
upon itself
a brightness
he saw the likeness
hands hidden
under wings
climb higher
dreadful rings full of eyes
like burning coal and fire
terrible crystal
a sound of wings alone
fire from his loins
he rises from the throne
ezekiel
he saw the wheel
this is the wheel he saw
four faces
they stare
wheel inside a wheel inside a star
it was the thirtieth year
humans they appear
real - for the spirit of the living creatures
was in the wheels
it was the thirtieth year
written words appear
on a scroll
words of lamentation
mourning and woe
ezekiel
he saw the wheel
this is the wheel he saw
four faces
they stare at him
wheel inside a wheel inside a star
in the midst
a gleam of amber
arms of gold
they lift their wings
and we are told
i will execute great vengeance
on those who treasure hate
raise my fist of judgement
punishment their fate
i liked, living, singing a song to the river
waters cold, told them i didn't care
their misgiving fueled a fire inside me
he told me the universe isn't fair
now my life's not over, killing a song is wrong
waters cold, told them I didn't care
doctors own me, willing to shed a tear
but he burned the forest down with his stare
take me where the trees are growing
and the leaves cry
because a breeze is blowin'
and we're gettin' high!
minds eye, sees a parallel time
rivers flow, no one knows where
signs point to a bridge on the river
but in this world that bridge isn't there
take me where the trees are growing
and the leaves cry
because a breeze is blowin'
and we're gettin' high!
take me where the trees are growing
and the leaves cry
because a breeze is blowin'
and we're gettin' high!
