Lyrics
The anguish takes its toll
Where all the levity disappears
Poets, philosophers and wise all gathered
Not damned nor welcomed to heaven
Dwelled in general sadness
Wrath in sight of Styx
Clawing and biting in anger
The sullen and gloomy are kept here
Submerged under water, forced to breathe
And choke on the black mud
Withdraw from the world
Lust and gluttony brought them here
Racked by a raging storm
The rain is filled by filth
Surrounded by sewage and debris
Abandon all hope, you who enter here
Grim Charon, carry me across the river
That divides the living from the dead
Into the world of the unworthy
Tombstones covered in flames
Heretics, godless and sinners
Those who pronounced other false religions
The greedy, the jealous
In a battle against themselves
Rolling giant boulders approach
The greedy, the jealous
No reprieve from the battle
Abandon all hope, you who enter here
Grim Charon, carry me across the river
That divides the living from the dead
Into the world of the unworthy
Tyrants and demons, frauds and thefts
Fortune tellers placed with their heads backwards
A throne of hell surrounded by everlasting ice
Captures all the traitors and forces them to capsize
Abandon all the hope, you who enter here
Into the world of the unworthy
