Lyrics
My girlfriend's friend
She called me and said
"You must get over here quick"
She said her lights went out
And she needed my help
If she was ever gonna get them fixed
So like a good friend
I packed up my tools
I hopped a cab and then I knocked on her door
She answered
In her birthday suit
She said, "What you got all them tools for?"
Just one of those days
(One of those days)
Yeah, mmm
Just one of those days
(One of those days)
Yeah
I had a dream last night
It felt so real
The air was clear
The sun was so glorious
And kindness was king
Righteousness ruled
The lion and lamb sat and cuddled in love
And so many trees
Bearing delicious fruit
I couldn't stop myself from getting my fill
I woke to the thunder
Which damaged the bed
I'm still a hundred dollars short on my bills
It's just one of those days
(One of those days)
Hey, just one of those days
(One of those days)
Say, one of those days
(One of those days)
One of those days
(One of those days)
Ooh, ooh
My brother called
He said that he was in need
And would it trouble me to loan him a dime
I said, "I'm broke as a joke
Down to my last
But I'll be glad to help you out this time"
And later that day
There was a knock at the door
It was a summons from municipal court
"The test came back
The baby is yours
And now there's seven years of child support"
And it's just one of those days
(One of those days)
Hey, one of those days
(One of those days)
One of those days
(One of those days)
Yeah, one of those days
(One of those days)
Ooh, ooh
Say, one of those days
Oh, hey, hey
