I'm not wishing you the worst, but I wouldn't mind if you got that
'Cause you said you love me first and then you kicked me to the curb
I was wishing you the best until you pushed me in the chest
And slapped me in the face, but still say I'm the mess
Now I'm steadily getting better while you build up new regrets
It's been a long and lonely summer, but I'm done being upset
So if I see you around, I'll act like you don't exist
'Cause this is my town and you just live in it
I've been running 'round in circles
I can't get you out my mind
It's not that I want you back, I just reminisce on times
That we were so happy, so happy I could cry
But I can't forget the days I couldn't stand to have you by my side
I ran away on the snowiest day
Packed my bags and rode through Salt Lake, wishing that I could decay
Slipped on ice and hurt my elbow
Told my mom I couldn't stay
But I just came running back 'cause I was too afraid
Of living without you
But now I kind of have to
There was just something about you
But then you acted proud to get rid of me
But now I'm fine, at least that's what I say
And I know you think about me probably every day
And I know you don't like that guy that you've been with
You're probably wishing that you would've stayed
But now it's too late and I can't take you back
'Cause you took me for granted and took my life off track
I spent months in my room
Remembering us and all the exotic food we shared
And places I took you
I hope you never find anyone who can compare
I hope you never find a new love like the love we shared
I hope you never feel okay, unless you're impaired
I hope I see the day when I don't even care
And I know I will but it's taking time
And I quit the drugs but I can use a line
So I'm sitting here writing down my feelings
To help me ease the pain tonight
