The “labyrinth” implies being trapped in a confusing inner world, unable to find a way out or connect with someone outside it. “Minus ninety degrees” is not a realistic temperature so much as an exaggeration that makes emotional coldness feel extreme.

The claim “I’m the star in my own film” can sound confident, but alongside the repeated insistence on being alone, it may also suggest retreating into a private fantasy where the speaker controls the story. “The ice age begins with me” places responsibility on the speaker, though it is unclear whether this means they caused the distance or simply feel its effects. The lyrics leave open whether this isolation is protective, painful, or both.
