Lyrics
The Shearing is over once more for the year
The rousies are smiling as they roll up their gear
They've got their cheques and they're feeling just right
It's gonna be on at that old woolshed tonight
The word get's around there's a dance on the board
With horses and sulkies and an old rattling Ford
Thru' creek beds and back tracks and shortcuts they know
The head for the lights of the Old Woolshed Do
There's fun and there's laughter for everyone round
Join in the dancig, let your hair down
Swing that young lady, tell her you'll be true
And drive her home after the Old Woolshed Do
There's Mum and there's Dad and old Jim from the store
But I've got an eye on that girl from next door
When the music starts playing and I've had a few
Then I'll feel like dancing 'til the old sun peeps thru.
There's fun and there's laughter for everyone round
Join in the dancig, let your hair down
Swing that young lady, tell her you'll be true
And drive her home after the Old Woolshed Do
The Swaggy awakes on the hay in the barn
Awoken by laughter that comes from the faram
With straw in his hair and a bottle of brew
He heads for the light sof the Old Woolshed Do.
There's fun and there's laughter for everyone round
Join in the dancig, let your hair down
Swing that young lady, tell her you'll be true
And drive her home after the Old Woolshed Do
