Lyrics
I can run
Look at me
I can jump
Can you see?
I can hop
Look at me
No one else is faster than me
No, no one else is faster than he
Well, even though I may be small
I always get where I need to go
Curl up tight inside my shell
Happy and warm in the place i dwell
But I can run
Look at me
I can jump
Can you see?
I can hop
Look at me
No one else is faster than me
No, no one else is faster than he
Well, let me ask you face-to-face
How would you like to have a race?
If I came first and you came last
Even though you're very fast
But he can run
Look at me
He can jump
Can you see?
He can hop
Look at me
No one else is faster than me
He can run
Look at him
He can jump
He will win
He can hop
Look at him
He's fit and strong and healthy and trim
And no one else is faster than him
Well, you've heard the story
There was no glory
He ran the first mile then he rested a while
But too long did he take
It was a very big mistake
Because although he was fast, he finished last
Said Tortoise, "It's me who's usually behind
More often than not, at the end of the line
But sometimes it's true, sometimes the case
That slow and steady wins the race."
