Lyrics
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
The moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless skies, my love
The first time ever I touched your face
I felt the earth move in my hand
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command, my love
The first time ever I kissed your face
I felt your heart so close to mine
And I thought how a joy could feel nearer
And last 'til the end of time, my love
The first time ever I saw your face
Your face
Your face
Your face
