Lyrics
The fog's creepin' over the mountain
As I peer out my car window
These wheels have been running so long
They've got me homesick for a home
I crossed through the desert
Just to chase that rising sun
But I miss California
And I'm tired of being on the run
Ya see I'm always searching for
The better side of life
I was hoping I'd find the fields of honey
And grass greener on the other side
I made my way to Atlanta
Just to have myself some fun
But I miss California
It don't compare to the western sun
I crossed Appalachia
Just to watch the horizon
But I miss California
And I'm tired of being on the run
I miss California
And I'm tired of being on the run
