Yo, it's like you gotta travel, man
If you can't travel physically, man, just let your mind travel
Try to see the world
That's how you learn, different
Experiences, seeing different things, man
I remember for a while I was just trapped in the hood
Listen, life I'm in position is different
Block beef, even police opposition
The more that I grew up seeing shit that was new
My first trip to Berlin my mind blew
Couldn't believe what I was seeing to be the truth
I knew people in the hood poorer than me
And I was starving but this was more deep
They tore the wall down inside Germany
Droves and packs of children roaming in the street
No coat, no shoes on they feet
It's cold, it's winter, they beggin', they just wanna eat
Twenty of 'em, the oldest of 'em no more than three
Shit I thought I would never see
Young tragedy reminding me back in QB
When I ain't have a coat, broke the car window
The in the backseat of a Pinto
All these kids in the street I couldn't ignore
Took my show money and bought McDonald's for 'em
Hopped on a plane days later back to the States
Stayed in my mind how I could relate
In my sight, it wasn't right
I thought only blacks was poor, neighbors white
Open your eyes, focus, realize it
Joy and pain, sunshine coinciding
Temperature change, the vibe switch
Stay safe, remain dangerous
I made intelligent hoodlum and there was black and white
I learned much later that it's more gray in life
Evil and wrong, bad and good
More evil in the world than inside my hood
Understanding better than being understood
Pro-black don't make me anti-white
You love yourself and you appreciate my life
Thought only blacks was poor but they was white
A lot get passed through, you don't know what struggle like
You ain't never had to fight, you fought for your life
The middle class totally eradicated
Now it's just poor and rich, that's more complicated
Militant blacks ain't the threat for you to overcome
It's white America government took the dream from

But like all living organisms, the Earth
Unleashed a fever to fight this infection
Its original and rightful rulers, the Titans
