Lyrics
The first time,
ever I saw your face.
I thought the sun
rose in your eyes.
And the moon and the stars
were the gifts you gave.
To the dark,
and the endless skies.
The first time, (first time)
ever I kissed your mouth.
I felt the earth
move in my hands.
Like the trembling heart
of a captive bird
that was there,
at my command.
First time, first time, first time, first time
The first time, (first time)
ever I lay with you.
I felt your heart
so close to mine.
And I knew our joy
It would fill the earth.
Till the last
second of time.
Till the last
second of time.
