Vitamin

The speaker feels awake and alive in a society that seems spiritually asleep. At first, they question whether to return to that sleep, but gradually they become more certain that they should resist it. The tone shifts from uncertainty to defiance and a sense of purpose: the speaker believes they have something useful to offer people, even if those people do not welcome it.

The “vitamin” is a metaphor for something challenging but beneficial, such as an idea or truth. People may dislike it “on the surface” while still needing it.
